Shut Up and Dance

It’s Maddie Fitzgerald’s (Elizabeth Worf) senior year, and although her friends are excited for their last year, there is something lacking in her life. When her neighbor Kelly Thompson shares that an old TV program is about to be revamped, it sparks confidence and a sense of hope for Maddie.

After a short sabbatical from university, Elliott Bristol (Talon Turman) is unsure if he wants to return to the lifestyle he once had. His ambitious best friend Brad Kessler encourages him to pursue loftier goals, but Elliott is wary on how to do so until Brad offers a solution.

Inspired by the 1985 cult classic, “Girls Just Want to Have Fun,” this modern adaptation shares the carefree spirit and youthful adventures that were sorely missed during the recent pandemic.

Meet our Cast:

Maddie Fitzgerald is a classically trained dancer who dreams of performing on a bigger stage, despite her strict upbringing. She gets her chance when a popular social media service creates a new dancing show.

Elizabeth Worf loves dancing, most specifically Classical Ballet and Contemporary and finding ways that she can use my dance to glorify God and spread the gospel. She also loves teaching dance to preschoolers and seeing the joy in their faces! In the near future Elizabeth will be auditioning for Christian ballet and contemporary companies in the US. She hopes to share Jesus whether through the dance company she joins or other ministry opportunities now and in the future.

After his mom lost her battle with breast cancer, Elliott Bristol focuses on watching out for everyone else, especially his stepfather and stepsister. With a bit of encouragement from family and friends, he sees the dance show as a new perspective on life.
